Dear Friend, For a true friend to express his / her warm affection and bonding with another friend the need for a special day like "Friendship Day" does not exist. More over today as we stand at the cross roads of technologicaly evolving world communication has become more faster, easily available and more pocket friendly. "ab chitti nahi aati, postcard nahi aata, aata hai to email , sms ya aata hai telephone (mobile) aur hoti hai sidhi baat....". So the world seems to be small enough.
Still for all of us time is the most scarce resource we have only 24 hours a day. Also the modern day work and social dynmics has undergone a major transformation. Gone are the days where people could have a carefree evening with the freinds who met as they just wanted to meet, gossip and laugh their heart out discussing the old school/ college "MASTI". Be a part of friends marriage days before the marriage and have fun that escaltes you to the 9th cloud of joy and happiness. "Kill" time at the "kitlee" close by talking about every thing in the world that has little relevance to one's life...... from the "FIRST CRUSH" to politics in "ANY PART OF THE WORLD", the neighbour who saw ghost or even being critical about "SACHIN TENDULKAR & BRAIN LARA" playing Cricket. Celebrate every small thing that could bring joy and even celebrate "NOTHING". Venture out on a destinaton less journey around the city with the "BOSSOM CRONIES". Enter the craziest of the bets putting "CUTTING CHAI" at stake and relishing "ANYBODY's" victory.
All this........ and more............. for the joy of being together, close to one another, shouldering one another and above all for "BEING FRIENDS".
These thoughts has made me nostalgic and the day dreaming has put me back in time, even when you all are not here with me, when I type this mail, I just had been right there in that moment of joy that we cherished together. I remember you and the great time we spent together more often, though i may not call you, send you an sms or an email I still remember you and cherish those days of joy and fun. So today I take this opportunity to write you how much i treassure those "MOMENTS".
I thank you for being there and urge you to be there even when we may speak once in an year, are hundreds and thousands of miles apart, when we may not even remember to wish on BIRTHDAYS but still be there and just be there for you know not when time puts us together form nowhere and we go back in time cherishing all those moments even when we are 35, 50 or 70 forgeting our reality and surroundings leaving our wife/ husband and kids to a delightful surpise laughing and giggling as we did years back.... decades back.........! From the deepest and the scantily available but the purest part of my heart I wish you a great life ahead making you highly successful and a satisfied person. Best of luck...!
